Located in downtown Chicago’s historic Marquette building which was built in 1895, the MacArthur Foundation continues its historic commitments to the strength and vitality of its headquarters. The foundation's board originally engaged Wright Heerema Architects, their neighbors in the Marquette building, for design direction on a refresh of their headquarters. The project began with a paint and carpet replacement before the board ultimately invited WHA to take on the project in full. It has evolved into stacking and core rework exercises, and well as a refresh of furniture and finishes.
