Wright Heerema Architects announces Scott Delano has joined the firm as Design Director. He is a veteran Chicago-based corporate interiors leader with 25 years of experience in planning, architecture and interiors. In his new role, Delano is charged with leading, inspiring and growing Wright Heerema’s interiors practice to ensure exceptional client experiences.
Prior to joining Wright Heerema, Delano served as Design Director at Interior Architects. Throughout his career, he has completed many architectural and design projects for workplaces, universities, municipal buildings and mixed-use/multi-family residential towers. Delano has provided architectural, design, workplace strategy and environmental graphics services for numerous headquarters developments and renovations. He led the design for Navigant’s relocation into a new 125,000-square-foot office at 150 N Riverside. His work has also shaped the environment of several municipalities in Illinois and California with master planning, including Downtown Aurora and San Ramon City Center.

Delano earned a Masters of Architecture from Tulane University. He is a registered architect in Massachusetts and Illinois, a member of the International Interior Design Association, LEED AP BD + C certified and licensed with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He frequently participates in Design School Reviews and Design Competition Juries, and has also served as a NeoCon Judge.
