Wright Heerema Architects worked alongside Wanxiang American Real Estate Group to revitalize Bannockburn Atrium at 2275 Half Day Rd, creating a welcoming, hospitality-inspired environment for office tenants and local visitors. Building on the firm’s previous renovation, this project upgraded the building’s lobby and amenities to the next level, activating the atrium through thoughtful FFE updates and strategic design enhancements.

Key improvements included reconfiguring the atrium stairs to create additional seating and removing barriers around the popular café, allowing it to seamlessly connect with the lounge. Building on the existing success of the F&B features, these changes encourage better activity flow and an engaging, lively atmosphere for its users.

Each building entrance was refreshed as a warm, inviting “welcome moment.” Upon entry, guests are faced with greenery, custom lighting, and residential-style furnishings that evoke the comfort of home. In the conference center, a Skyfold partition was introduced to enhance flexibility, enabling the creation of various room sizes to accommodate diverse meeting needs. These elements bring a sense of comfort and sophistication without requiring significant architectural changes.

Bannockburn Atrium underwent a stunning transformation through smart FFE touches and minimal architectural changes, all within a modest budget. In collaboration with JLL and J.C. Anderson, WHA successfully elevated the existing space, demonstrating the power of design to create a lasting impact for tenants, local visitors, and prospects.
