The 11th floor at Prudential Plaza was repositioned with two clear objectives: to upgrade the fitness center into a market-leading amenity, and to connect One Pru and Two Pru. The result is a cohesive space that blends wellness, design, and community, accessible to tenants across both towers.

Wright Heerema Architects connected One and Two Pru by constructing The Link, a new corridor that bridges the towers. To emphasize the connection, we introduced two distinct ceiling treatments: dark exposed steel near One Pru, echoing its lounge, and concrete-inspired finishes near Two Pru, reflecting its structural beams. Each side features unique light fixtures to highlight the contrast, while a mural by a local artist adds warmth and hospitality.

At the One Pru fitness center, we created a brighter, club-style environment through cost-effective, high-impact upgrades. With the core structure intact, we focused on refreshed finishes, improved lighting, and selective locker room updates. New amenities like saunas and cold plunges add a spa-like touch. The golf suite was designed to strengthen the building’s relationship with Wilson, a key tenant, while also serving as a premium amenity for all tenants to enjoy.

Together, these upgrades redefine what amenities can be: experience-driven and distinctly competitive in the Chicago office market. They are designed to improve tenant satisfaction, support leasing efforts, and differentiate the property with best-in-class offerings that stand out from typical amenity packages.
