WHA Partnered With Studio TK & Teknion For Refortify’s Most Successful Year Yet
Wright Heerema Architects partnered with Studio TK & Teknion for Refortify’s most successful year yet. With 13 forts, 36 “Little Architects” and 270 attendees at View Night, Radically Engaged helped raise a record-breaking $8,500 in addition to all other donations:
Professional clothing donated to Breakthrough Urban Ministries
Casual clothing donated to Cornerstone Community Outreach
Furniture & building materials donated to Habitat for Humanity Restore.
Refortify helps widen the breadth of possibilities for children’s futures and to benefit their community. Kids ages 9-11 participating in Breakthrough’s after school program are connected to the architectural and design profession through a 5-week series of workshops, culminating in the design of their own fort. The kids are paired with professional design teams to execute and build their concepts using clothing, bedding and building materials. Clothing and materials collected through Refortify are donated in support of Breakthrough’s mission.
More info about Refortify is available on the Radically Engaged website.
