CHICAGO, IL – March 26, 2024 – Wright Heerema Architects, a Chicago-based architectural and interior design firm, is thrilled to announce John Kolb as WHA’s new Interior Design Director.
Kolb brings over 30 years of experience in high-quality interior design solutions and has successfully led projects spanning various sectors, including commercial, hospitality, and multifamily residential. With a rich leadership background, he has spearheaded design, documentation, and construction processes, aligning strategic client objectives with team goals.
One of his standout achievements features the Warsaw Financial Center in Warsaw, Poland. He led interior design for the iconic 32-story office building, overseeing a dynamic team of designers and engineers. Notable tenants within include Altheimer & Gray, Cameron McKenna, Chase Bank, General Electric, and World Bank.

Kolb, an honors graduate in Environmental Design from Kendall College of Art and Design, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He is a Registered Interior Designer in Illinois and a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Furthermore, he is recognized as a LEED Accredited Professional by the United States Green Building Council.
